1/3/2024 0 Comments Tomato plant stem problems![]() ![]() Indeterminate varieties produce new leaves and flowers all the time and can grow very tall. The determinate is shorter and bushier, whereas the semi-determinate is taller. Determinate (and semi-determinate) varieties have flower clusters at the end of their stems. Tomatoes are classified into two types based on plant habit: determinate and indeterminate. Tomatoes used as flavor enhancers in food are always in high demand, both fresh and processed. They are a good source of vitamins as well as a cash crop for smallholders and medium-scale commercial farmers. They are grown for home consumption in almost every homestead's backyard across Sub-Saharan Africa. Tomatoes are one of Africa's most widely grown vegetable crops. Tomatoes are native to South and Central America, but they are now grown all over the world. Tomato may also be referred to as the love apple and originates from South America. The tomato plant can grow 0.7–2 m (2.3–6.6 ft) in height and as an annual, is harvested after only one growing season. The tomato plant produces yellow flowers, which can develop into a cyme of 3–12, and usually, a round fruit (berry) that is fleshy, smoothed skin, and can be red, pink, purple, brown, orange, or yellow in color. The stems are covered in coarse hairs and the leaves are arranged spirally. The plant can be erect with short stems or vine-like with long, spreading stems. Tomato is an herbaceous annual in the family Solanaceae grown for its edible fruit. The following are the crop details for tomato ![]()

1/3/2024 0 Comments Mitsumi quick disk transport![]() In 1967, IBM tasked their San Jose, California storage development center to develop a reliable and inexpensive system for loading microcode into their System/370 mainframes in a process called Initial Control Program Load (ICPL). While floppy disk drives still have some limited uses, especially with legacy industrial computer equipment, they have been superseded by data storage methods with much greater capacity such as USB flash drives, portable external hard disk drives, optical discs, memory cards, and computer networks.ĭrawings from IBM Floppy Disk Drive Patents Sizes ranged from 8 inches in the first commercialized floppy disk to the 3½-inch floppy disks still available today.įloppy disks slowly lost popularity as better technology developed which was able to offer higher levels of storage capacity, smaller physical characteristics, and faster processing speeds. Throughout the period in which floppy disks were common, they went through numerous improvements, each time significantly improving their available storage capacity and reducing their physical size as computer data storage technology advanced. ![]() Floppy disks remained a popular portable digital-storage medium for nearly 40 years after being introduced commercially in 1971. The floppy disk was a revolution in the computer industry when it was developed by IBM in the late 1960s as a reliable and inexpensive method of loading microcode into their System/370 computer. The Quick Disk (QD) was a 3-inch floppy disk design launched by Mitsumi around 1985 (a prototype was shown in 1984).8-inch, 5¼-inch, and 3½-inch floppy disksĪ floppy disk is a disk storage medium composed of a disk of thin and flexible magnetic storage medium, readable by a floppy disk drive (FDD), and sealed in a rectangular plastic carrier lined with fabric which serves the purpose of keeping the data storage disk free of foreign particles such as dust. Drive belt replacement for MITSUMI D357B Floppy Disc Driveįloppy drives from the late 1980s and early 1990s often used belt drives to connect the drive motor (top right corner) to the floppy disk itself (middle left - large black plastic flywheel). It was a much simpler design than other floppy disks of the time as it had no shutter mechanism to protect the disk surface from dust and used break-off tabs (rather than a sliding tab) for write-protection. The synthetic rubber belt which connects the motor to the disk flywheel tends to go either loose (as in this case), or to dissolve into a sticky goo. The 'plasticisers' used to make things soft and springy have a limited life-time (evaporation of volatile compounds, effect of UV light, etc) and so drive belts either go loose or brittle - SY99 drive belts seem to go loose or even dissolve. The SY99 shown here is from 1991, and so was about 13 years old in 2004. You can get replacement belts with the correct dimensions and tension from: The drive belt was so loose that the motor no longer turned the plastic fly wheel, and so the drive did not work. 'windchest' on ebay sometimes has them. ![]()

Since I have no access to the actual Zankou Chicken Garlic Paste recipe or any connection to Zankou Chicken itself, I starting doing test runs. The main debate now lies in what kind of potato you use. People knew it was some kind of starch because it cooked into a pancake instead of melting in the hot pan, and ever since the potato was revealed to be the mystery ingredient the flood gates have opened. ![]() The secret ingredient turned out to be potato. Many people have spent years trying to decipher the Zankou Chicken Garlic Paste Copycat recipe, going so far as to cook the sauce to see what form it takes and calling the corporate office asking if it has certain ingredients in it for “allergy reasons.” If I had to describe it to you it would have the thickness and consistency of horseradish, but with a raw, strong garlic flavor with a hint of lemon. Can’t say I blame them, I routinely wanted three or four extra little containers with my meal just so I could use it on everything else I ate later that week. Zankou Chicken Garlic Paste is so popular that what used to be a free sauce you could snag some extra of is now pre-packaged and inventoried and sold for much much more than should be allowed.
1/3/2024 0 Comments All keyboard![]() Read our full Lofree 1% Transparent review But, you don't need to be one to truly appreciate this board, and if you're looking for something to help you stay productive and class up your work setup, it's worth the price. Keyboard enthusiasts - aka those who are willing to spend the money for a keyboard - will certainly adore it, though the fact that it's not hot-swappable might turn some off. The battery life is decent as well, which got us about 60 hours of typing time with backlighting set to low brightness - that means you're getting about a week's worth of work use before needing to charge. Because the are pre-lubed, we also found it to be quieter than other mechanical keyboards. The switches felt and sounded amazing (that thock sound is near-orgasmic) and were smooth to type on during testing. This mechanical keyboard, pre-lubed Kailh Jellyfish mechanical switches that are comfortable to type on, is not just stunning, with its beautifully clean transparent keycaps, which have with a hallow center and a removable press-and-fit lid so you can customize them with tiny sequins or beads for fun, and a sleek equally-transparent top cover.īut it's amazing to type on as well. Read our full Razer Pro Type Ultra review Pair this one with the Razer Pro Click Mini, and you might never look at your productivity workload the same way again. Of course, if you don't feel like having to charge every time the battery runs out, you can also go wired. When using the wireless connectivity, you've got up to 214 hours of battery life on Bluetooth and up to 207 hours when using the 2.4GHz dongle. Due to the added height of the keys, we found our wrists bending upward to type effectively, but the wrist pad does offer enough support to mitigate the issue. It also comes fully-loaded with features, boasting three connectivity options, multi-device connectivity, and a luxurious wrist pad to kept our wrists comfortable especially during long typing sessions. Some might be disappointed that it's only available with linear switches, but we found them to be perfect for office settings. Fitted with silent and linear mechanical keys, you'll get that satisfying tactile feedback without the unnecessarily loud click-clacking. The Razer Pro Type Ultra may be expensive, but it's just the kind of product you'd want to shell out for because it's worth it. Not only is this Cherry SX scissor-switch keyboard robust and affordable, but it also delivers a great performance and even greater comfort, making it a pleasure to use even though it’s not exactly what you’d call eye candy. But, if you want something for productivity, casual use, or creative work, one of the keyboards below - along with money-saving keyboard deals available right now - should meet your typing needs.Īlthough the Cherry Stream Desktop keyboard is not exactly the best-looking or the most compact, it’s arguably one of the best keyboards of 2023. So, we gathered all the best keyboards we’ve tested or used ourselves, including the a few mechanical keyboards and some of our favorite mini keyboards, to help you get exactly that. Having tested more than our share of keyboards, we can truly say that there is massive difference between an excellent keyboard and most of the cheap ones you find online. ![]() Much like when you're using the best mouse, the best keyboard will change the way you interact with your computer and elevate your experience overall. In fact, we recommend getting one even if you don't spend all day typing away at your computer. If it's a wireless keyboard, you'll find that the higher quality ones have better connectivity as well. However, a high-quality option is more accurate, faster, and a lot more responsive, as well as more satisfying and more comfortable to type on. Any mediocre keyboard can function properly as an input device. ![]() 1/3/2024 0 Comments Chinese coins 1![]() ![]() These coins were cast in a wide range of distinctive shapes, and the aim of that paper was to investigate the alloying practices involved in making the metal from which they were cast. In a previous paper, we have considered the published chemical compositions of the Pre-Qin (before 221 BCE) copper alloy coinage of China. Finally, a study of changes in the content of silver over time reveals differences in the sources of lead, or changes in lead and silver extraction technologies, over the period. The median levels of iron jump from the Qin (221–206 BCE) to the Western Han (206 BCE–9 CE), possibly reflecting the adoption of slagging processes in the production of the copper, followed by a gradual decline to the Northern Song (960–1127 CE), and a rapid increase during the Southern Song (1127–1279 CE). A diachronic study of the amounts of iron in the metal, taken to indicate changes to the manufacturing process of copper, also show changes over time. There were several major suppressions of Buddhism during this period, when Buddhist brass statuary was recycled into the coinage, providing a plausible mechanism for the injection of small quantities of zinc into the coinage alloy. Although not as obvious as the switch to brass coinage in the Ming, certain periods do show occasional values of zinc up to 2–4%, which we suggest could reflect the sporadic input of recycled brass (Cu–Zn alloy) into the raw material melt. Particular attention is paid to the low levels of zinc in the coinage over the period. There are a number of shifts in the quality of the coinage from dynasty to dynasty, such as the obvious debasement of the Southern Song coinage (1127–1279 CE) when compared to that of the previous Northern Song dynasty (960–1127 CE). It shows a dramatic change in the alloying practice used to cast these coins from the Qin unification (after 221 BCE), compared to that practiced in the pre-Qin. ![]() This paper surveys of the chemical composition of the copper alloy coinage in China from the Qin Dynasty to the end of the Yuan Dynasty (221 BCE–1368 CE). ![]() 1/2/2024 0 Comments Players guide to faerun![]() Until the updated documents are released, continue to use the most recent guidance provided on the Wizards of the Coast D&D Adventurers League webpage.
